BRWC Results – 2021

Merv Lockyer 3km Handicap, North Gardens, Lake Wendouree, Sunday 11th July 2021

At last we managed to start our season without the dreaded Covid striking again and cancelling our race. Fantastic sun & clear skies greeted our walkers, with most of our walker backing up from competing yesterday in Melbourne at VRWC. Our youngest juniors Lachy MacDonell and Tara Deb keenly walking the shorter 1km distance. After a quick 8km in 37:15 yesterday at VRWC, Fraser Saunder backed up with a slick 13:40 to take handicap honours and the fastest time for the day. Following closely behind on handicap was Jemma and Scott Peart, in second and third respectively. And well done to young Lachy Hill who walked his first 3km race, which was a great achievement considering he competed in the VRWC 2km yesterday in Melbourne.
